CURRICULUM PHILOSOPHY
Little Light Preschool’s curriculum is a discovery-based learning experience that gives each individual child the opportunity to move through specially designed learning centers at his or her own level of interest and ability. The curriculum focuses on learning basic concepts and skills through hands-on experiences and activities. Some centers are designed to develop large and small motor skills, while others are more academically oriented. Through our program, each child is given the tools needed to encourage the growth of the whole child.
We use a multi-faceted approach in our school for one simple reason - children are all different. Each child learns a little differently; while one child loves story time, another prefers to play with blocks or enjoys painting. Each area is important and one area overlaps the another. The preschool child’s mind is like a sponge, soaking up their experiences of life. The more experiences we provide, the more the child will learn. We believe that it is extremely important that we provide a great variety of experiences for your child.
